Eveline Gaumond: Owner, Breeder and West Highland White Terrier Enthusiast

First of all - I do not have kennel dogs. My fur-babies are in my home and loved fully as my companions (and I couldn't have it any other way). Having been "owned" by West Highland White Terriers for over 20 years I couldn't imagine another breed in my life. After years of careful thought and research I finally made the decision to dedicate my time and passion towards the preservation and promotion of this feisty breed. I have been very blessed to have worked with some amazing Canadian kennels and am very proud of all of my dogs.

 

My home is located in beautiful Gaspe, Quebec - Canada on a one and a half acre property overlooking the Gulf of St. Laurence. My dogs regularly go for swim-adventures in the ocean, love to run and play around my property, and are the cherished center of attention for anyone visiting.

My dogs are shown before they come to my home - I have found that I spoil them too much and then when it comes to working in the ring they won't listen to me or a handler! (Not a bad thing I'm sure - but it doesn't making showing easy). I have worked with wonderful handlers and feel very lucky to have such a strong working relationship with them. Occasionally I have puppies for the selective pet or show owner. Each home is carefully screened to ensure that this breed is a good fit - they are not the dog for everyone (as anyone who has ever owned one will agree).
